Earlier this week we found ourselves invited to a private dance performance and dinner at the new Villa Des Indes II in Seminyak, Bali. As we've often been heard to say that the original Villa Des Indes is one of our favorite luxury villa properties in Bali, we jumped at the chance to check out their newest development.

The new Villa Des Indes II is built directly across the street from the original Villa Des Indes. The new property is both smaller and larger than the original. Des Indes II has only two bedrooms; while the original property has three. The original villa also has more chill out spaces within the residence and joglo. However Villa Des Indes II does exceed the size of the original in one regard: the garden at Des Indes II is 900 square meters in size. It's perfect for events, as we saw that evening.

The evening began with cocktails and a traditional kecak dance in the villa's garden. After the performance, the bar opened again while the staff reset the garden area with tables, complete with candles and white linen. Dinner was served by the villa staff in three courses and featured local Indonesian dishes.

All-in-all, a very enjoyable evening on a lovely premises.

Within Villa Des Indes II there is a two bedroom pavilion, interior décor and antiques in the same colonial style. Bathrooms house pedestal washbasins and tropical outdoor showers. The Joglo within this residence is an authentic Limasan Joglo from the Jogyakarta region of Java.
An outdoor relaxation bale is set within the Villa’s lush tropical garden and fringes the private swimming pool of the Villa.

The new villa and the original can be leased either individually or jointly; this gives the option to book up to five bedrooms at the Des Indes villas.
